I started therapy with Dr. Shanklin in March, and I’m so glad I did. He creates a safe, non-judgmental space that makes it easier to open up—even when I feel nervous. He reassures me every time that it’s a judgement free zone. He’s patient, understanding, and really listens. I feel seen, supported, and affirmed in ways I don’t always experience in my day-to-day life. I once told him It feels like we’re paleontologist sifting through dirt and slowly putting together the pieces of fossils to create a bigger picture.
